What is the Association of Video Professionals?

The Association of Video Professionals LLC ("AVP") is a Limited Liability Company, founded by a group of independent video studios that wanted to leverage their combined knowledge, experience, and resources through the open sharing of ideas, technical support, marketing support, and ongoing training. What is the difference between an AVP Member and a business listed in the AVP Directory on

The site you are on has one primary purpose which is to drive sales leads to businesses in our directory. Our directory consists of “AVP Members” and “Directory only listings”. In addition to a top level listing in the directory, AVP members enjoy a host of additional benefits over and above a Directory only listing. How do I become an AVP Member?

Simply click on the Join AVP Membership  and fill out the requested information to submit your application. You’ll be able to get your top level listing posted on our site in a matter of minutes. We will then contact you directly to enable the many other benefits like forum access, conference call access, ftp site, etc.

What are the contract terms for membership? Do I have to sign up for a full year at a time?

We offer month to month membership contracts so there are no long term commitments required. We’re confident however that once you join you will want to stay and enjoy the benefits for months and years to come. We do offer discounts for Quarterly and Yearly subscriptions.

Are the members owned by AVP? Is this a franchise?

NO! Each AVP member is an independently owned and operated business. AVP is a membership community working together for the better good of all members. We do NOT dictate how a member should run their business. We do however offer tools, training, marketing collateral, and support to help our members run more successful businesses.

I’m not sure about membership right now but I want to list my business in the directory. What are the different options?

We have several Directory only options to meet any budget. Just click on the Join the AVP Directory page to learn more and get your business listed.

The training you offer looks fantastic. Can I attend your training if I am not a member?

Yes. Our training is open to members and non-members. In addition to the knowledge you will acquire, attending one of our conferences as a non-member is a great way to learn more about the group and talk directly with current members about their experience with AVP. Members do receive priority class selection and a 30% (minimum) discount at all conferences.
